Dear lazyweb: In-ear headphone recommendations | Comments (1)

Posted in General on 23rd November 2008, 1:56 pm by Stuart

My trusty Senheisser CX300 headphones have given up - one ear has lost volume considerably so I’m in the market for a new set of in-ear headphones? Seeing as everyone and their mother has an ipod these days I’m up for hearing recommendations of what you’re using and why you like them.

I’ve been happy with the CX300’s but I’m probably not going to get another pair of the same, as I found that the rubber parts of them didn’t really fit that well and the size of my ears was somewhere between the smallest and the middle size. Sound quality was pretty good though so I’ll be up for something similar in that department.

I like the Er6i from Etymotic:

But my last pair were nicked and the Seinheiser ones were my next choice as the’re much cheeper.

OSX Mysql app: Sequel Pro|(1)

Generally these days I’m tending to access mysql from the CLI but when writing a data importer script I needed to be able to see what tables I was accessing from two different dbs. Initially I was looking for an ERD tool but I stumbled across the successor to CocoaMysql, Sequel Pro. It’s both well executed and free which makes it my kind of app!

Inline Code Finder|(0)

Robert Nyman has released a new and improved version of his inline js finder which now also locates inline styling as well as JavaScript. Inline code finder is a great way of identifying the kind of code that should always be avoided. More details can be found at Robert’s site. Plugins are available as standalone Firefox and Firebug extensions.
