Nokia Multimedia Transfer for Mac | Comments (2)

This is totally awesome and far nicer than using bluetooth file transfer to put python files for pys60 onto your Nokia phone. Nokia Multimedia Transfer Works via bluetooth or the data cable and provides a drag and drop interface similar to finder.

I’ve been using Nokia Multimedia Transfer since I got my shiny MBP back in July. It’s great when setup to automatically synchronize your photos and videos, if only to keep a backup.

Hi!

Yes, it’s pretty nice

Did you manage to transfer also sms, notes and word/excel files etc.

For photos and videos it works well but I’m still face problems with what I listed above…

do you have any suggestion?

Andrea

GNU screen: open tab in current working directory|(1)

A nice trick for having screen open a new tab in the same directory as the one you’re currently in. To use it add it to your .screenrc

# Open new window in current dir.
bind c stuff "screen -X chdir \$PWD;screen^M"
bind ^c stuff "screen -X chdir \$PWD;screen^M"

Ubuntu: add-apt-repository: command not found|(2)

When you’re using a minimal Ubuntu install if you find the ‘add-apt-repository’ command is missing (it’s useful for adding PPAs and other repositories), then simply run:

sudo apt-get install python-software-properties
