@Yannick: Thanks - I wanted this article to be a good starting place for anyone new to developing with standards so that they could avoid falling into some of the pitfalls.

A lot of the focus these days is about the graphical design aspects of CSS based websites and technicalities such as semantic markup, accessibility and flexibility of layout (a layout that doesn’t fall apart when the text is re-sized) are all too often over-looked.
