Registrations for d.Construct “a grass-roots Web 2.0 conference” are being taken now Sold out. Such luminaries as Andy Budd, Simon Willison and Stuart Langridge will be speaking about all things Web 2.0. There will also be a talk from Boing Boing’s and EFF member Cory Doctorow on copyright and intellectual property.

I managed to beat the rush and scored myself a place so I will be there on 11th November. I’m looking forward to learning more about the whole Web 2.0 thing as so far I haven’t had much chance to us AJAX apart from a couple of experiments. This should be the inspiration I need to put some effort into adding degradable AJAX functionality to Joornal; the content engine behind this blog.

In addition it will be nice to meet up with anyone who is going to SXSW in 2006.

Cool, good to see a familiar face from @media is gonna be at d.construct. See you there! Still trying to clear my diary for SXSW, I’m trying, and will get it sorted soon…

Brewing with a French Press|(0)

My Coffee Brewing alter ego has been hard at work on a post about brewing the perfect French Press. Warning contains extreme coffee nerdery, though don’t let that put you off!

Using Loggerhead with mod_wsgi|(0)

Here’s a post I wrote over on the Project Fondue Blog about our use of Loggerhead with mod_wsgi under Apache. Loggerhead is the rather nice branch viewer for bazaar branches as used on Launchpad.net.

If you’re not already subscribed to the Project Fondue blog feed then I can recommend it, as there should be some interesting posts coming out of there in the coming months (yes I’m unashamedly biased!).
