Since I got a Gmail account I was looking for a way to access the account without having to login on the browser every time. I thought of using a POP server interface (such as Freepops) to Gmail but the big downside is that you don’t get the benefit of the Gmail interface, which really has to be the main reason why anyone would use it.
One solution I found was GSuite. GSuite is a handy systray utility that gives you a very quick route into reading your gmail. There are other features that allow you to search your Gmail or the web, along with a link for composing Gmail.
GSuite does it’s job very well and I only have one foible, which is I would like to see the ability to use Firefox as the embedded browser, as currently links in Gmail are opened up by Internet Explorer. This is on the cards provided the technical difficulties can be overcome.
An alternative to GSuite is the Gmail notifier extension for Mozilla Firefox. This is the ultimate for easy access to Gmail from your Firefox browser. The plugin provides a Gmail icon that you drag into your toolbar and from there you can set your login details. It is simple enought to set it up to login automatically when you start your browser.
The good news here is that this extension works on all platforms that run FireFox. Very nice indeed.

Gmail offer pop now so I use that. Although its not the same as gsuite, I only use pop so I can access the other 4-5 email accounts I have at the same time.
Have you heard gmail are offering 50 invites too. I opened Gmail and at the bottom left a new box with 50 invites WOW but at this point I have no more people to invite appart from the public. Although I dont like giving away my email to everyone, specially 50 people I dont know. Why dont they just make gmail available for sign up?
Another gmail utility i found
http://www.GmailBag.com
to use gmail as bookmark and information manager
The URL listed (http://www.GmailBag.com) doesn’t work. Any other ideas??
